The meeting of SAARC Home Ministers scheduled for February 26 to 28 in Islamabad has been postponed. Confirming the postponement, official sources in New Delhi said that the dates did not suit the Nepalese Home Minister and this was the sole reason for putting the event on hold. The Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram was to attend the meeting. Mr. Chidambarm's visit had evoked interest as he was expected to not just pave the way for engagement with Islamabad but also forcefully make India's point on the need for Pakistan to dismantle the terror infrastructure.
