The Prime Minister of Lebanon, Saad Hariri, says he will meet with Syrian President, Bashar al- Assad, next week in Damascus to discuss Lebanese-Syrian cooperation on the levels of trade, environment and education between the two neighbours. Discussions will also address the issue of border demarcation.<br/><br/>The Lebanese Prime Minister did not give the date of the trip to Syria, but the Future News TV said the trip is slated for April 13.<br/><br/>Hariri paid in December a landmark visit to Damascus, pledging with the Syrian president to open new prospects on bilateral relations. The visit ended five years of bitterness between the two countries.<br/><br/>Relations between Hariri and Syria have been edgy since Feb. 14, 2005, when Hariri's father Rafik Hariri, the then Lebanese prime minister, was assassinated in Beirut.<br/><br/>Syria is suspected of being involved in the killing, but Damascus has always denied it.<br/><br/>Hariri vowed in February to maintain the trust-building process with the Syrian leadership, stressing that nothing can obstruct this path.
