South Africa today retained the top spot in the ICC Test rankings after clinching the three-Test series against Australia One-Nil. The Proteas beat the Aussies by a mammoth 309 runs in the final Test at Perth on the fourth day on Monday. Chasing a target of 632 runs for a win, Australia were all out for 322 in their second innings. South Africa's series victory means that it is the clear leader at the top of the table. They lead second-ranked England by six ratings points. The ICC said in a statement that Australia are still in third position. However, Australia will move ahead of England, if India wins the remaining two Tests in Kolkata and Nagpur.
