External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today afternoon on a three day visit to Bangladesh. The External affairs Minister will be received at the Hazrat Shah Jalal International airport at Dhaka by his Bangladesh counterpart, Dr Dipu Moni. Mr.Krishna will begin his visit by paying tributes at the National Mausoleum in Savar on the outskirts of Dhaka. Later in the evening, he will hold discussions with Bangladesh Finance Minister A.M.A Muhith and also interact with Senior Editors of Bangladesh’s electronic and print media. External Affairs Minister is scheduled to review the entire gamut of bilateral ties with Dr.Dipu Moni on Thursday ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Bangladesh in September this year. The External Affairs Minister will also call on Bangladesh President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the second day of his visit in addition to holding discussions with Leader of the Opposition and BNP Leader Khaleda Zia during his stay in Dhaka. AIR Correspondent reports, the discussions during the External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna’s visit to Dhaka is expected to focus on finalizing the historic agreements that are likely to be signed during Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s visit to Bangladesh in September.
