The External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna will arrive in Sri Lanka this afternoon on a four-day official visit. He will be the first high level official to visit the island nation after swearing in of President Mahinda Rajapakse for a second term. The visit is aimed at further strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries. During his visit, Mr Krishna will take part in the 7th session of the Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Commission. He will open Consular Offices in Jaffna and Hambantota and sign several bilateral agreements. Mr Krishna will hold discussions with President Rajapaksa, Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathne and several high level government representatives.
