S Korea to send flood aid to N Korea

South Korea is set to send 5,000 tons of rice in flood aid to North Korea.The Unification ministry today said the aid also includes three million cups of instant noodle and one million tons of cement. Rice will be delivered later this month to the Sinuiju, a North Korean city bordering China via a Chinese port. According to the Unification Ministry, this is the first rice aid since President Lee Myung-bak took office in 2008. Civic groups in South Korea also sent separate rice aid to North Korea last month to help the country cope with flood damage.
