South Korea has rejected North Korea's demand to return nine people, who defected by boat into the South on Saturday. The nine people believed to be members of the same family, were picked up by a South Korean ship. Seoul says they are refugees and want to stay. Yesterday, North Korea warned that relations between the two countries could worsen if the boat people were not returned.
