S Korea break 2 world records at archery event

The 2012 London Olympics saw South Korea break two world records in Archery on the opening day. South Korea's Im Dong-Hyun, who is legally blind and wears nothing to correct his sight, created history by breaking his own 72-arrow mark of 696, which he had set in the World Cup in Turkey, by three points. Im Dong-Hyun was also a part of the record in the team shoot. He along with Kim Bub-min and Oh Jin-Hyek helped South Korea register a 216-arrow total of 2,087, smashing the existing world record by 18 points.
