South Africa beat India by 48 runs by the Duckworth-Lewis method to level the five-match ODI cricket series 2-2 after the game was abandoned because of rain. South Africa did well to make 265-7 off 50 overs in Port Elizabeth after losing their first five wickets for 118 runs. India were set a revised target of 260 after the first rain break and needed 123 from 87 balls, but at 142 for 6 off 32.5 overs, the match was abandoned.
