A team of Goa police on Friday evening arrested the main alleged accused in the Russian minor girl rape case, Amaan Bhradwaj, at Chembur in Mumbai hours after his alleged accomplice was arrested at the KTC bus stand in Panaji in the morning<br/><br/>The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr Ravindra Yadav in a brief statement late Friday evening said that Amaan is being brought back to Goa and the team should arrive this morning. Mr Yadav said the Uttar Pradesh police had earlier raided the house of Amaan in UP. Earlier in the day, the Panaji police arrested Anil Kumar Raghuvanshi, native of Madhya Pradesh, at the city KTC bus stand and he has been remanded to 7-day judicial custody.<br/><br/>He said that a test identification parade (TIP) will be held and requested the court to expedite the process of carrying out the parade. He said that under normal circumstances it takes around ten days; however the identification parade should be done within the next few days.<br/><br/>Mr Yadav informed that during investigations Raghuvanshi gave a similar version to that given by the mother of the Russian minor girl. Mr Yadav said both the accused along with some other staff of the pharmaceutical company had been to the Arambol beach for a picnic and the two accused left the group and walked about 1.5-2 km to an isolated stretch of the beach called Collem. There, the two took a dip in the fresh water lake before committing the crime.
