In a bid to revive the ceasefire deal on Syria, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold fresh talks today in Lausanne, Switzerland. The meeting will also attend by UN Syria envoy Staffan de Mistura, Iran's Foreign Minister,Mohammad Javid Zarif, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and chief diplomats from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The key topic for the meeting is expected to be resumption of the regime of cessation of hostilities in Syria.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, pro-government forces had conducted a massive air raids yesterday on targets in rebel-held areas of Aleppo. A Britain based Monitoring group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has said the bombardment has put a severe strain on rescue workers and medical staff, home to an estimated 2.5 lakh residents under siege. It said, more than 370 people, including 70 children, were killed in east Aleppo since the collapse of a truce last month, brokered by Washington and Moscow.
