Russia launched the space freighter, Progress M-07 M to space on Friday. According to the Mission Control Centre outside Moscow, the cargo spaceship atop a Soyuz-U carrier rocket blasted off from the Kazakh Baikonur space center, delivering some 2.5 tons of supplies to the International Space Station (ISS). The Centre said, the cargo ship will dock with the ISS on Sunday. The 2.5-ton supplies include fuel, media and fire equipment, oxygen, water, clothes, staples, fruits, vegetables, desserts, nuts and fish cans. The new generation of Progress vehicles is lighter in weight and equipped with a modern digital control system, which enables the spacecraft to dock with the ISS more accurately.
