The Russian Defense Ministry today grounded all MI-28 helicopters after a fatal crash in the southern Stavropol region. Earlier in the day, an anti-tank MI-28 helicopter – Night Hunter – crashed due to its engine malfunction. A pilot died after the helicopter fell from 400-meter altitude and another one injured. The Russian Defense Ministry said it has started an investigation into the accident. The 16 million U.S. dollar MI-28 Night Hunter is an attack helicopter.
