In Russia, officials say two people have died and eight others injured in a massive fire at a shopping mall in central part of the country. Emergency Ministry spokesman Vasily Khisamutdinov said in Moscow today that the fire engulfed the five-story shopping mall in Ufa. He said the fire started during construction in the building. Mall visitors have been evacuated, and the wounded have been hospitalised, he said.Ufa is the capital of the oil-rich, Volga River province of Bashkortostan.
