Russia has delivered 50 armored personnel carriers (APC) to Palestine authority. News agency report today said the carriers had been handed over to the Palestine authorities in Jordan where they had been shipped to by sea. Russia's Foreign Ministry said Russian experts had also trained Palestinian mechanics to drive and serve the personnel carriers BTR-70. The Ministry said the vehicles were given to Palestine for free in international efforts to strengthen and build the potential in Palestine National Authority. Jordan gave Russia permission for temporary stock-keeping of the military equipment on its territory until Palestine and Israeli parties would agree on the timing and ways of its transfer to the West Bank.
