Rural Electrification Corporation, REC, a public sector unit under Power Ministry has stepped up relief work amidst lockdown. REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Limited is distributing cooked food, ration, utility packets, masks, sanitizers and shelter to the needy people. These efforts of the foundation have benefitted 76 thousand daily wagers and their families so far. <br />'' <br />'' REC has also tied up with Delhi Police to provide 500 food packets. It has also donated 150 crore rupees to the PM-CARES Fund to support India's fight against coronavirus.<br />''  <br />
