Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh inaugurates SARAS AAJEEVIKA MELA, 2022 at India International Trade Fair in New Delhi

Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh has said that the government is trying to connect around 10 crore women with self-help groups by 2024. Mr. Singh said this while inaugurating SARAS AAJEEVIKA MELA, 2022 at India International Trade Fair in New Delhi today. He said, currently around 8.7 crore women are connected with self-help groups. Mr. Singh said, women self Help Group will play a major role in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of a five trillion dollar economy.<br />'' <br />''SARAS Mela is an initiative by Deendayal Antayodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission to bring the rural women self-help group members in one platform to showcase their skills. It also provides national level exposure to understand the demand and taste of urban customers in metro cities.
