The Finance Ministry has said that the rupee will correct itself and there is no need for panic. Talking to reporters in New Delhi yesterday, Economic Affairs Secretary Arvind Mayaram termed the sharp fall in the rupee value as a reflection of irrational sentiment. He said, it is important to stay on course. He said, the Current Account deficit, CAD will be much lower than expected and moderation has already been seen.The rupee yesterday slumped to a new all-time low of 68 rupees 80 paise against the dollar. This followed worries over foreign investors pulling out their investments and the widening Curren Account Deficit.
