The rupee today weakened by 10 paiseto trade at 62.41 against the dollar in early trade. This is due to increased demand for the US currency from oil importers.Besides dollar's gains against euroand yen overseas after better-than-expected manufacturingfigures, increased demand from oil importers for the Americancurrency and a lower opening in the stock market also put pressure on the rupee.The rupee ended 13 paise higher at 62.31 against the USdollar in the previous session.
