Rupee up in early trade amid sustained dollar-selling

The Indian rupee was up by 16 paise at 45 rupees 36 paise per US dollar in early trade amid sustained dollar-selling by banks and corporate and greenback weakness overseas.At the Interbank Foreign Exchange, the domestic unit opened higher at 45 rupees 45 paise per dollar against Tuesday's close of 45 rupees 52 paise per dollar and moved up further before quoting at 45 rupees 42 paise per dollar.Meanwhile, oil surged past 104 dollars in Asia in early trade today as inflamed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East drove crude supply concerns.
