The rupee today strengthened by 12 paise to 51.30 rupees against the dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange market, on the back of euro gains against the American currency overseas.The rupee closed marginally higher by 5 paise at 51.43 rupees in the previous session on fresh dollar selling by banks.
