The rupee recovered by 9 paise to Rs 54.27 against the US dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on dollar selling by exporters and banks.Besides, a higher opening in the domestic equity market and euro and yen's strengthening against the American currency overseas also supported the rupee.
