At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee extended its gains for the fifth straight session, and closed 9 paise stronger, at 61.04 against the dollar. The rupee rose on sales of the US currency by exporters and banks, amid heavy capital inflows. The rupee has gained 132 paise in the last five sessions.
