The Indian rupee today appreciated by 28 paise in early trade today as the US currency weakened against other Asian currencies. At the forex market, the domestic unit strengthened by 28 paise to 46.46 a dollar. The rupee had ended 26 paise lower at 46.74 a dollar in the previous session. Dealers said the US currency weakening against other major currencies bolstered the rupee sentiment.
