The rupee today strengthened by 19 paise against the dollar in its sixth straight day of rise. It ended at 62 rupees and 27 paise. It is the Indian currency's longest winning run since 2012. The appreciation is attributed to sustained selling of the greenback by banks and exporters amid foreign capital inflows.
