The rupee rose by 12 paise to fresh over five-month high of 52.28 against the American currency in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on continued dollar selling by exporters and some banks. The rupee had edged up by 45 paise to close at an over five-month high of 52.40 against the dollar in the previous session on Monday on sustained capital inflows.
