The rupee tumbled a whopping 54 paise to an over two and a half month low of 64(point)81 against the dollar.The rupee plunged after the US signal from central bank of a likely interest rate hike later this year triggered strong dollar buying by corporates and importers, and strengthened the dollar overseas.
