The rupee tumbled 53 paise, to a fresh all-time closing low of 61.30 against the dollar. Falling for the third straight day on Wednesday gold lost 280 rupees, to 28,340 rupees per ten grams in Delhi. Silver dropped 695 rupees, to 41,410 rupees per kilo.
