The rupee today appreciated by 11 paise to 54 rupees 64 paise against the US dollar in early trade, aided by selling of the American currency by exporters and banks. The rupee had plunged by 39 paise to close at a two-month low of 54 rupees 75 paise in the previous session on Friday's trade.
