The Indian Rupee today appreciated by 21 paise and hit three-week high of 44.89 rupees a dollar in the morning trade. It had closed at 45.10 against the greenback on Friday. Forex dealers said strong opening of the stock exchanges and dollar's losses against other Asian currencies kept the rupee sentiment firm.
