The rupee inched up by three paise to 54 rupees 91 paise against the American currency in late morning trade today on mild selling of dollars from banks despite its higher value overseas.Earlier, the rupee had resumed higher at 54 rupees 87 paise per dollar as against the last closing level of 54 rupees 94 paise.
