The rupee appreciated by 30 paise to 44.85 against the US dollar in the early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market in the noon trade today. The Indian currency had ended 14 paise lower at 45.15 rupees against the US currency in the previous session. Forex traders said the rupee strengthened due to capital inflow into equities by foreign funds.
