Rupee rises by 22 paise against US dollar in morning trade

The Indian Rupee recovered by 22 paise against the US dollar in the morning trade. This follows dollar's weakness overseas amid firm equity market.Banks and exporters preferred to sell dollar at current level following persistent fall in dollar value in the New York market.At the Interbank Foreign Exchange or Forex market, the local unit opened higher at 44 rupees 95 paise a dollar from its last close of 45 rupees 15 paise.
