The Indian rupee appreciated by 19 paise to 45.43/44 against the US dollar in the morning trade on Wednesday. The rupee closed lower by 10 paise at 45.62/63 on Tuesday. On Monday the rupee hit 45.38, its strongest since Jan. 12.
