The rupee today rose by 15 paise to 53 rupees 66 paise against the dollar in early trade today on selling of the UScurrency by exporters and banks. The rupee had closed four paise down at 53 rupees 81 paise against US dollar in yesterday's trade, following late weakness in local stocks and sustained demand of the American currency.
