The rupee rose by 13 paise to 53.95 against the US dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on dollar selling by exporters and banks. The rupee had lost 52 paise to close at 54.08 against the dollar yesterday on heavy month-end dollar demand from importers and corporates.
