The rupee today lost 10 paise to 54.46 rupees against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange due to appreciation of the American currency against euro overseas.The rupee had lost 19 paise to close at 54.36 rupees on Tuesday against the dollar due to month-end demand for the US currency from importers.Dealers attributed the rupee's fall to dollar gains against the euro overseas and a lower opening in the stock market.
