Posting its biggest single-day gain in two weeks, the rupee rose 60 paise, to 61.23 against the dollar. The rupee gained 22 paise to 61.61 per dollar in late morning trade today on selling of the US currency by banks and exporters amid hopes of more foreign capital inflows into equity market.
