The rupee appreciated by 6 paise to 44.37 against the US dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market in the morning trade on Monday. Dealers said, apart from dollar's weakness versus other Asian currencies, capital inflow into equities by foreign funds, also kept the rupee sentiment up.
