The rupee today gained 19 paise to54.43 against the dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange today on increased selling of the US currencyby exporters.Besides, strengthening of yen and euro against the dollarin overseas market and a higher opening in the equity marketalso supported the rupee.The rupee had lost 10 paise to close at 54.62 yesterday.
