The rupee appreciated by 18 paise to 44.48 rupees against the US dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market in the morning trade today. It had lost 24 paise to close at 44.66 rupees against the US currency in the previous session.Forex dealers said that fresh capital inflow into equities by foreign funds kept the rupee sentiment firm.
