The rupee today gained 16 paise to 55 rupee 41 paise against the dollar in early trade, extending its rising streak for the third straight session. The rise come after American currency weakened against euro overseas.The local currency had gained 16 paise to close atone-week high of 55 rupees 57 paise against the dollar yesterday.
