The Indian rupee rose by 14 paise to 47.91 rupees a dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today on continued foreign capital inflows and euro gains against the American currency overseas. Appreciation of other Asian currencies against the US dollar also supported the rupee's rise. The rupee had lost 24 paise in the previous session to 48.05 rupees per dollar, a level not seen since the last week of September, 2009.
