The Indian rupee gained 14 paise to trade at a six-week high of 45.87 a dollar in the early trade today. On Tuesday, the rupee had ended 9 paise higher at 46.01/02. Forex dealers said continued capital inflows into equities by foreign funds and dollar's weakness overseas mainly lifted the rupee sentiment.
