The Indian rupee gained 12 paise to 46.74 against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today. The rupee had closed 17 paise higher at 46.86/87 against the American currency in the previous session. Forex dealers said that increased foreign fund capital inflows into rising equities provided support to the rupee.
