The Indian rupee depreciated by two paise to 45.46 in early trade today as dollar strengthened overseas. The rupee ended lower by 10 paise at 45.44 dollar in the previous session. Forex dealers said besides strong dollar overseas, demand from importers for the US currency also weighed on the rupee sentiment.
