The Indian rupee depreciated by 8 paise to 46.62 against the dollar in early trade. The rupee had closed flat at 46.54/55 against the dollar in the previous trading. Dealers said dollar's gains against euro and other major currencies in overseas market mainly influenced the trading sentiment on the domestic market.
