The Indian rupee fell by 20 paise to an early low of 52.26 rupees per US dollar today on good demand for the American currency from banks and importers in view of a higher dollar in overseas markets. It lost 15 paise to 52.21 rupees per US dollar in early trade today.The rupee had closed 29 paise higher at 52.07 rupees per US dollar in yesterday's trade after its eight-day losing streak was checked by fresh selling of the dollar by exporters.
