Rupee down by 2 paise against dollar in early trade

The Indian rupee depreciated by 2 paise to 46.95 a dollar in the opening trade on dollar demand from importers. The rupee had closed 15 paise higher at 46.93/94 a dollar in previous session. Forex dealers said dollar's demand from importers put some pressure on the rupee sentiment, but the losses were capped by better opening in stock markets.
