The rupee today depreciated 47 paise against the dollar. It closed at 63 rupees 71 paise. The fall was attributed to the demand for the US currency, even as capital flows continued into domestic stocks. The domestic currency today opened at 23 paise lower at 63 rupees, 47 paise. It had depreciated by 77 paise to 63 rupees, 24 paise in the previous session.
